13th Annual DEVORA Forum

The 13th annual DEVORA Forum, held on November the 3rd at the University of Auckland bought together >70 attendees from numerous research and stakeholder organizations to present and discuss the latest research on the Auckland Volcanic Field. This year’s forum marked the first time that that it has been offered as a hybrid event allowing people to attend either in-person or virtually over Zoom.

Twenty-four talks, pop-ups and posters were presented that cover a range of topics from teaching students how to prepare for an eruption through to economic recovery after an eruption. We also discussed novel monitoring techniques and laboratory experiments to create tsunami generated by volcanoes! You can check out the slides from these talks and many of the other talks here.
