Image Credit: E.Smid GeoNet: On watch for Auckland’s next eruption A collaboration between the Earthquake Commission and GNS Science, GeoNet provides geological hazard information for New Zealand. It offers links to an innovative map and search of sensor networks providing high-rate data – from the past and the present – on the Auckland Volcanic Field (AVF). The seismic sensors covering the AVF are fully integrated into GeoNet. A date search filter provides access to sensors operating across the years. The detailed station and sensor information can be accessed via specialised Data Access Tutorials. GeoNet operates seven three-component borehole sensors, one single component borehole site, three three-component sites and four strong motion sites.
